The trend in the top 10 newspapers remains unchanged (but the discussion can easily be extended to the top 20): all are in the red, except—as usual— Marco Travaglio's Il Fatto Quotidiano , which holds its own and holds its own along with Roberto Napoletano's Il Mattino . The rest of the newspapers are in the red, with the Gedi duo, La Repubblica, and La Stampa recording double-digit declines (around 10%). La Repubblica remains in third place despite a double-digit drop (-10.09) from 147,902 to 132,982.
Il Sole 24 Ore contains its losses compared to the general trend of newspapers (-3.75%) and confirms its fourth place: there were 117,126 in July 2024 and 112,732 this year.
Top 5 with Avvenire , among the most positive in the general panorama (almost parity, -0.92%): from 97,300 to 96,405.
La Stampa remains in sixth place, but here too, Gedi records a double-digit decrease (-10.04%), losing 70,000 shares: from 76,989 to 69,258.
Il Messaggero holds seventh place overall, but the trend is downward (-7.48%), seeing the sixty thousand copies mark move away: from 59,535 to 55,079.
Il Fatto Quotidiano is not losing ground; as mentioned, it is the only newspaper in the top 10 to grow (+0.88%), closing in on Il Messaggero , aiming for seventh place, and rising from 53,588 to 54,059.
