Appliance bonus, today is click day for sellers: here's how the incentive works

Although the date for Click Day hasn't been officially announced yet—though it's expected to be sometime before the end of the year—the Appliance Bonus continues its rollout: after October 23rd, the date on which the first phase began, in which manufacturers had to register on the list of goods eligible for the discount, today it's the sellers' turn.
Once the checks have been completed, Invitalia SpA will communicate to PagoPA SpA the names of the delegates who will be able to add value to the electronic list of household appliances. Only after this final step will consumers, via the IO app , receive notification that applications are open and will be able to submit their voucher applications, which will be sent to them once they have verified their eligibility.
The products that can be sold (and purchased with the bonus) will all be large household appliances: washing machines and washer-dryers with an energy class of at least A; ovens of at least class A; range hoods of at least class B; dishwashers of at least class C; tumble dryers of at least class C; refrigerators and freezers of at least class D; and hobs that comply with the limits set by EU Regulation 2019/2016.
Among the bonus's clauses is the obligation for the retailer to collect the obsolete appliance . If they are unable to do so, they will be required to notify the Platform and issue a credit note. However, the Ministry warns that this will invalidate the voucher: the measure was created to promote sustainability and the energy transition.
How it works
A seller can participate in the bonus payment by accessing the IT platform with SPID/CIE , completing the application, digitally signing the contract, and registering their points of sale. At that point, MIMIT explains, the seller can upload the invoice in the name of the end user who made the purchase to the IT platform and submit the reimbursement request to Invitalia, according to the indicated methods.
The IT platform will then calculate the discount amount on the invoice and generate a pre-authorization transaction . The transaction must be confirmed by the Seller. If the pre-authorization procedure is not completed by 11:59 PM on the transaction start date, it will be automatically canceled and the Voucher will become redeemable again for the period indicated by the decree.
After the purchase and the return period has expired, the seller uploads the invoice via the IT platform and sends the return declaration for the obsolete appliance. Invitalia SpA carries out checks and issues refunds to the dedicated IBAN account provided by the Seller during the registration process.
The incentive may reach a maximum of 30% of the purchase price and, in any case, up to €100 for each appliance, which can be increased to €200 if the purchaser's household has an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) of less than €25,000 . The incentive can be used by each household for only one appliance, "respecting the chronological order of application submission," the decree specifies, and "its recognition is subject to the actual availability of financial resources."
