Marotta: "Inter will invest in quality young players. Serie A is open, but we are the only ones on three fronts"

"I can say today in advance that our model will be slightly modified, the philosophy of the ownership is to return to investing in young profiles that can be capital assets and can provide a quality contribution to a team that already guarantees important values". Inter president Beppe Marotta is already looking to the future in the press conference in which he gives an account of the news from today's Nerazzurri board of directors but does not shy away from the current issues, from the new faces on the board to the end of the season of which he proudly says: "We are the only ones in Italy still in the running in the Champions League, championship and Coppa Italia".
"The statute just had to be modified to allow the possibility of holding the board meeting online when the need arises," Marotta explained. "The entry of new figures such as Max Catanese, our Chief of Staff, and two important figures such as Claudia D'Arpizio and Diego Gigliani, who join the board at the suggestion of the owners to further contribute to our management in achieving the developments that we all have in mind, important professionals who help us improve our level of expertise, is important."
The Nerazzurri president then focused on the sporting analysis: "It is a very interlocutory moment, we know that there are still 12 days of the championship and therefore many points available. I would like to underline the performances of our team that this year is still at the top on the national, European and world scene: it is a source of great satisfaction and pride, crowning the work of everyone and the seriousness of the ownership. Being first in the championship, the only team representing Italy in the final stages of the Champions League and still being among the eight in the running for the Coppa Italia shows that Inter respects its objectives and is doing so again this year. How it will end I do not know. We can consider this championship one of the most balanced of recent years, with three authoritative candidates and all games open. We will certainly witness an exciting end to the championship: our history and our DNA tell us that we want to be protagonists".
Marotta then focused on the club's programmatic lines: "We are proud of the work done by the entire management group, from Ausilio to Baccin and Zanetti, who over the years have always put in important pieces. Our philosophy has been to create a hard core of Italians and we have succeeded very well, so much so that we have five or six regular appearances in the national team, to which we then add the search for professionals even older who can give us a contribution of competence, quality and experience. We are already projected into the future, Ausilio and his team are monitoring the situations: I must say that contrary to the criticism we are receiving these days, keeping almost all of the staff from the previous season means we have done a positive job, and since it means that with last year's team we won we are calm".
