Ischia: The Fondobosso interchange and parking area has been expanded.

Ischia Municipal Police Commander Dr. Chiara Romano has modified the provisions for the Fondobosso area, where construction of the interchange and parking area is underway.

The ordinances adopted in 2024 "identified a parking and interchange area in the parking lot (specially marked and demarcated), located between the businesses called "La Stuzzicheria" and "Pescheria Costa." Furthermore, "one-way traffic was established in the section of the parking lot from the First Access (starting from Via Michele Mazzella) in front of number 31, up to the business called "Stuzzicheria," using the First Access exclusively for vehicle entry. A comb-shaped parking area was also identified for motor vehicles."

An expansion of the “temporary” interchange area has now been requested.

The latest ordinance therefore states: "As a partial amendment and addition to ordinances no. 177/2024 and 197/2024, starting from the publication of this order and until further notice, the interchange and parking area will be extended to the entire area between the commercial businesses called "La Stuzzicheria" and "Pescheria Costa" (which will be specifically marked and demarcated), leaving a central lane of the road free, approximately 3.5 meters wide, to allow one-way traffic for all vehicles, including the Zizì shuttle and trucks transporting materials for the work in progress.

Parked vehicles will be removed by crane at the offender's expense."
