Landes: five ideas for outings for the May 1st weekend

On Thursday, May 1st , garage sales are being held in several towns. This is an opportunity for families to find bargains or sell trinkets gathering dust. The one in Larrivière-Saint-Savin will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the town hall square. In Biscarrosse-Plage, exhibitors will be present from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mimizan is celebrating the Fête de la Mer and is holding an all-day garage sale for the occasion. Dax is holding a flea market on the Goussebaire-Dupin esplanade from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In Sabres, the Marquèze Ecomuseum recounts the lives of the Landes people of yesteryear. Labenne hosts several temporary exhibitions in its contemporary art center, opening in 2024. In the heart of the former Jacobin convent of Saint-Sever, the Cap de Gascogne Museum of Art and History recounts the life of the Cap de Gascogne abbey.
On May 2nd and 3rd, video game tournaments are being organized as part of the Land'Esport tour, featuring games like “FC 25,” “Mario Kart,” and “Super Smash Bros.” This will be the case on Friday at the Campagne media library and the following day at the Saint-Martin-d'Oney library.
