Angeac-Charente: new virtual dinosaurs, in 3D and 360°

The first visitors donned 3D glasses on Saturday, June 28. They entered the "Tumulte," a curious cylindrical device whose screen unfolds an incredible 360° panorama. The scene is interactive, serving a more detailed 15-minute story. With a wave of the hand, the 19 participants per session are invited to pet certain dinosaurs, feed them if they are herbivores, or chase them away if they appear threatening.

Let's not spoil anything, just point out that season 2 features a new bestiary. It ends with a superb aurora borealis and adheres to the rule of unity of time, place, and action. "We've beefed up the story and strengthened the dramatic arc. Yes, there's an element of fiction, but it's subject to scientific validation by experts," says Andreas Koch, the head of Cortex Productions in Angoulême, the inventor of "Tumulte."
