Among the most notable were Union Bordeaux Bègles' historic qualification to the Champions Cup semi-final against Stade Toulousain (35-18), and Bayern Munich's 34th German championship title , giving striker Harry Kane the very first trophy of his career at the age of 31.
As for disappointments, OL will have some regrets after their surprise home defeat against RC Lens (1-2), which almost compromised their qualification for next season's Champions League. Also worth mentioning is Lenny Martinez's disappointment at the Tour de Romandie, which saw Portuguese rider Joao Almeida overtake him in the general classification.
