Former tennis star, this Frenchman is embarking on a rather crazy career change

He was a star of French tennis for several years. While he's not yet retired from the professional circuit, his performances have fallen almost into anonymity. Perhaps to regain the spotlight and a certain amount of pleasure, the French player has decided to embark on a surprising career change.
To discover who this former star is, here are a few clues. At his best, he was ranked 18th in the ATP rankings (2016). He won three titles in his career, losing six times in the final. His Grand Slam performances were never very convincing, with only a few rounds of 16. One last clue: he was born in Avignon and often made major mistakes on the courts...
The last clue was certainly the simplest because yes, it is indeed Benoit Paire! Still involved in the challengers and future consultant for France TV, the most fiery temnisman of recent years has decided to embark on a new career as an entrepreneur by launching... his own brand of beer.

The name of this beer is a nice mix between Benoît Paire's last name and the aperitifs he often enjoys after matches: "Apairo." "We're a little behind schedule, but it will be available for sale in April," the Frenchman explained to the Dauphiné. A real expected success? "In any case, for my part, I enjoyed investing in this project!" said the man who is now ranked below 500th in the ATP rankings.
This isn't the Frenchman's first venture. In 2022, he already created the clothing brand "Hors Paire" in collaboration with Celio, a name that also referenced alcohol, with a logo depicting a cocktail glass.
While alcohol abuse remains dangerous to your health and should always be consumed in moderation, other celebrities have attempted to release alcoholic products with varying degrees of success in the past. José Garcia also released his own rosé wine. Still in the sports world, but this time alcohol-free, Charles Leclerc recently launched his own brand of ice cream, available in many stores.
