Handball, Nouvelle-Aquitaine: PHB wants to continue its momentum, a derby in the men's Pre-national

After their inaugural victory against Prahecq, the Périgourdines travel to Bègles to try to start a series.
Guillaume Arvieux, coach of the National 3 team, was unfortunately not with his troops last Saturday to watch the PHB women's team win against Prahecq. And for good reason, the coach also takes care of the U17 national team. But he was able to count on his assistants. "Jean-François (Saget) and Philippe coached and gave me a debrief," he smiles. "The first half was a bit difficult because we fell behind at the break (10-13). There was a bit of stress, perhaps," the coach wonders. "It was also a bit too individual and there were quite a few failures, including five missed penalties in the first half. They got back into it and it was better in the second half with an 8-0 run, thanks to a good defense and saves. But be careful, because Prahecq is expected to be a little weaker this season than last," explains Guillaume Arvieux.
However, beating this Prahecq team was a good test for the rest of the championship and especially for the first trip, this Saturday to Bègles (C), a team that has not yet played in this group. And the PHB can be happy since last Saturday, Excellence also won. "They aim to move up to the Pre-National, if possible," points out Guillaume Arvieux. To do that, they will have to beat Ruelle-Mornac this Saturday. In the Périgueux group, Ribérac postponed its match against Poitiers to October 25 and Montpon is exempt.
Still in Excellence, Vallée Vézère and Sarlat-Le Bugue are hosting while Bergerac-La Force and Foyen Vélinois are away.
HBCC will have to raise its levelIn the men's competition, after their draw, Champcevinel travels to their neighbors Montpon-Mussidan for a derby that promises to be interesting. But Dimitri Royère's players will have to raise their game if they want to compete in this championship.
In Men's Excellence, Lalinde travels to Saint-Médard-en-Jalles and in Honor, the Cocc will be at home against Gond-Pontouvre and Bergerac will go to Ruelle-Mornac.
