Football: Bergerac Périgord FC relegated to R3?

For the past few days, rumors have been rife in the world of Périgord football. Bergerac, recently relegated from N2 to R1, is now reportedly set to play in R3 and its reserve team in D1.
It's a cold shower for BPFC. A debt of more than €500,000, exclusion from national championships, a refusal to appeal this decision taken by the financial watchdog of the French Football Federation, and now, relegation to R3. Bergerac continues to sink, and nothing seems able to stop the slide.
This Wednesday, August 6, a meeting of the executive committee of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Football League (LFNA) was held, where the fate of Bergerac Périgord FC appears to have been sealed. There are currently no plans for receivership or bankruptcy, as our colleagues at Le Démocrate point out.
A meeting of the club's board of directors is scheduled for Thursday evening. "I was present at the meeting at the League," explains Jonathan Blondy, president of the Dordogne football district. "I defended the club and I do not agree with the decision," he continues. "I am quite disappointed by the lack of time given to the club to defend itself," adds Jonathan Blondy.
Bergerac will appeal, claiming a "procedural and procedural error." "They should have been given a chance to present their recovery plan," points out Jonathan Blondy. The case is far from over.
