Car Rally: The Dordogne Périgord team has found a new date for Rallye 24
The Regional Rally 24, which was due to take place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August in Bassillac-et-Auberoche, but was postponed due to the heatwave, will finally be held at the end of the year.
The French Motorsport Federation and the Dordogne Périgord team, organizers of Rallye 24, have finally found a new date for the regional rally. It will be November 1st and 2nd.
As a reminder, the event was postponed due to the prefectural decree prohibiting "access to forest areas for recreational and sporting activities from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Friday, August 15, 12:01 a.m. to Saturday, August 16, 11:59 p.m." The prefecture had also informed the team that it would not be able to welcome the public on Sunday on the circuit.
To avoid any last-minute cancellations and a significant loss of revenue (no refreshments or catering in particular), the organizers took the initiative by canceling the entire race this Wednesday afternoon.
