Basketball: in Dordogne, the BBD-Sanilhac union won a promotion play-off

CTC Boulazac-Sanilhac maintained its second place in Regional 2 thanks to its victory in Aixe-sur-Vienne, while its direct competitor beat Tulle.
Four Dordogne teams were playing this weekend at the regional level, three of which were to finish the regular season. For two of them, it was a no-brainer. Fortunately for AOL, already in the playoffs and finishing first in the non-relegation pool of its Pre-National group, after its 75-51 defeat at Chartrons. Facing a Bordeaux team led by a certain Frédéric Adjiwanou, the Périgourdins held their own for a quarter before gradually falling behind, with the home side trailing by 32 points for a time.
Bergerac eliminated in the quarter-finals of R3The Eyzeracois, in Regional 2, finished well at the bottom of the table, Oradour (65-87). Already sure of finishing second to last, they will try to rebuild well during the off-season, to return to Regional 3 with ambition. At this level, the Bergeracois, already promoted, were engaged in the final phase for the title and had seven points to recover after their 85-78 defeat at Jurançon in the first quarter. They only made up four and will therefore leave the Béarnais to play the semi-finals.
The BBD-Sanilhac union, for its part, will play a two-way play-off (May 10 and 17) to return to the Pre-National. Because the Boulazacois preserved their second place by winning quite easily (76-95) at Aixe-sur-Vienne, who finished ninth and should therefore stay up. Clément Daude's players benefit from their favorable point average over Saint-Delphin, whom they beat twice, to play for promotion against Bouscat, second in Group A of R2, with a first match at the Agora next Saturday.
