Athletics: a new reward for the young Trélissacois Milann Klemenic

The young EST athlete was celebrated by the municipality after his exceptional season, with a second European silver medal and a sixth individual national title.
This Wednesday, late afternoon, Trélissac celebrated Milann Klemenic, its young athletics champion, who will celebrate his 18th birthday on September 6th. In 2024-2025, he has achieved all his goals. First, by beating the French junior indoor 400m record by nine hundredths of a second (46''80 in Liévin). Then, by improving his outdoor time by 48 hundredths (46''30), to find himself nine hundredths off the French junior record (46''21) even though he is only his first year in this category.
This latest performance came in the semifinals of the European Championships in Tampere (Finland), where he finished with the silver medal. Knowing that, to best prepare for it, he had given up participating in the French elite championships, for which he had qualified. Going there next year will be one of his goals, "along with participation in the Junior World Championships," he says.
The ES Trélissac athlete will prepare for it in Nantes, where he returns this Friday to join the French training center, after a year at the youth center. But before resuming training, he'll still enjoy a few days of vacation. He'll spend the vouchers he received as a gift this Wednesday. They'll obviously be used to acquire new athletics equipment "but also to buy a PSG jersey," Milann smiles.
