'Points first, pints later': Wolverhampton manager Vitor Pereira celebrates his team's wins in the pub

"What do we do in Wolverhampton after a game? If I lose, I stay home and drink my beer alone. If I win, I celebrate with the fans." Wolves manager Vitor Pereira revealed a rather unusual habit in today's Premier League ahead of Friday's trip to Manchester City. The 56-year-old Portuguese said he enjoys " celebrating with the people " above all else. In addition to the team's recent good results, his humble character is appreciated locally, as are his " (fans) , them and the region ."
"When I go to the pub, it's not for the beer. Of course, I like beer, but I go there to be with people, to feel like I'm doing something to make them happy, to make them proud," he added. His motto: "First the points, then the pints," has found followers among the thirteenth-placed Premier League side. So much so that a banner hanging from a stand at Molineux Stadium echoed the message.
