Watch smart, spend less: These techniques to pay less for streaming subscriptions

Watching movies and series at home is becoming more and more expensive: in one year, the price of subscriptions to streaming platforms has increased by 15%, with up to 25% increase for subscribing to YouTube Premium , according to data from Spliiit, a subscription sharing platform.
This price increase is fairly easy to explain: all these platforms started with very low prices to attract subscribers. But it wasn't profitable at all. And on top of that, the costs of producing and distributing content increased...
First, sort things out: if you're subscribed to multiple platforms, it's time to drop some of them. Don't hesitate to actively manage your subscriptions! You might be interested in a series on Disney+: you sign up for a month to watch everything, then you cancel and move on to another platform.
Also, pay attention to your plan. If you have the Netflix premium offer for 4 simultaneous screens, unless you are a family of 4 and all 4 of you watch different things on TV at the same time, you may be able to opt for a cheaper plan.
You can always share your subscription, and it's completely legal, of course! On average, we spend €780 per year on our subscriptions, and we can almost halve the bill by sharing.
The easiest way is to go through a platform specializing in sharing subscriptions. The platform will act as an intermediary between someone who has a subscription and wants to make money from it and someone who wants to benefit from the subscription but without paying the full price.

There are several: you have Spliiit (with 3 i) or Sharesub. On these platforms, you will find everything that works with a subscription, Netflix, Disney+, Canal + of course.
You also have computer software like Microsoft 365 or even apps like Duoling, Canva, or Strava, the running app. If you're a little worried that strangers might be able to monitor what you're watching, don't worry, most platforms offer private access, each at home, only the subscription costs are shared.
