Thionville: An independent living facility will be built next to the new Sainte-Madeleine nursing home.

The new Sainte-Madeleine nursing home, owned by the Lenternier Foundation on Route de Guentrange, is taking shape. Construction has been progressing well for two years, with an opening date set for late 2025. At the same time, plans to build a nearby independent living facility have begun.

In June 2023, the Lenternier Foundation laid the foundation stone of its new Sainte-Madeleine nursing home on the Guentrange road. Just behind the one built in 1962, which had become far (too) dilapidated. Two years later, work on the new facility is progressing well, giving hope for an inauguration at the end of 2025 as announced, and above all, a budget envelope maintained despite inflation and the soaring cost of materials.
