"In Marseille, local fishmongers are gradually disappearing," Marsactu warned back in 2021. According to the local investigative newspaper, France's second-largest city has three times fewer fishmongers than the average large urban area. Of course, there's La Criée, the fish market in the Old Port, which opens every morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Quai de la Fraternité.
