With their bodywork tagged, their tires punctured, their windshields blown out, and even the entire vehicle set ablaze, Waymo's self-driving taxis – white cars equipped with a crown of video sensors mounted on the roof – have become a prime target for protesters in Los Angeles in recent days, a photogenic symbol of their anger for reporters covering the events.
