Former editorial director of Nice-Matin, Hubert Perrin has died

Hubert Perrin, 73, former editorial director of the Nice-Matin group, has died.
In 1998, he succeeded Charles Buchet. Michel Comboul was then CEO of the group. Hubert Perrin will be remembered as an elegant, courteous, and cultured man. The journalism bug, contracted at a very young age, likely stemmed from the Master's degree in modern literature he had obtained. A taste for literature and current affairs that would never fade.
Hubert Perrin began his career as a freelance journalist at France 3 Reims, then joined "L'Union de Reims" in Champagne. He then joined the "L'Est républicain" group. He worked in Nancy, then launched the Marne edition.
In a varied career, he then headed the Guadeloupe edition of the newspaper "France-Antilles", before being appointed administrator of "Lyon-Figaro", then director of the regional daily "Le Progrès", in Saint-Etienne.
Hubert Perrin then became editorial director of "Dauphiné Libéré" in Grenoble, a newspaper belonging to the Hersant group. He also held the position of vice-president of the Syndicate of General Information Press Agencies (Sapig).
In recent years, he has successively held the position of cabinet assistant to the President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, then of cabinet assistant to the President of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Hubert Perrin, married to Anne, was the father of two children and grandfather of two grandchildren. He was the second of seven siblings. He enjoyed writing and reading above all else, but also playing the piano and tennis.
To his family and loved ones, Nice-Matin extends its most sincere condolences.
The ceremony will take place at the Saint-André church in Mouans-Sartoux on Wednesday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m., and the burial will take place the same day at the Mouans-Sartoux landscaped cemetery at 4 p.m.
