In Yonne, Jura, Moselle or Meuse? An anti-Jewish, anti-Black and Nazi festival aims to bring people together in secret

A clandestine far-right festival, with openly neo-Nazi, anti-Semitic, and racist overtones, is attempting to organize itself in the northeast of France. According to information from Mediapart , it was in the Meuse department, near Verdun, close to the Luxembourg border, that small Nazi groups initially wanted to hold the "Black Metal Blitzkrieg," but several local press headlines indicate that the organizers could bring it to other departments. The Grand Est prefecture has obviously banned any gathering of this type , and on Tuesday even asked prefects to extend the alert and vigilance to the entire region as well as to the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region, i.e., eighteen departments.
Concern is growing especially in Moselle, Meuse, and the Ardennes, but also in Jura and Yonne, as reported by L'Yonne Républicaine and La Voix du Jura . The authorities know that the event is expected to take place clandestinely: it is not officially promoted on open social networks, but information is circulating via flyers in English, in small circles of insiders, and on the dark web.
The festival promotes not only NSBM (National Socialist Black Metal) music but also an explicitly violent, anti-Semitic, and racist discourse that goes beyond mere provocation: it is a celebration of Nazi ideology, including its worst aspects. The headline band, Nordglanz, active for over 25 years, is clearly identified as neo-Nazi. Another band, Goatmoon, is scheduled to be present. Its frontman, Jaakko Lähde, is blunt in his lyrics: "I laugh in the courtyard of the burning synagogue. I smell the Jews, the stench of burning flesh," he writes in Aryan Evil.
INVESTIGATION We will kill the parasites one by one: the clandestine Black Metal Blitzkrieg festival, scheduled for September 20 near Verdun, features six European neo-Nazi bands, one of which calls for a total Holocaust. By @dodonatien https://t.co/ZfKxDevdwZ
Other lyrics unearthed by Mediapart: "As I slit the throats of the traitors to my race, honor grows within me. I am the one who brings the total Holocaust. Soon, this world will be pure," can be heard in the song "Pure Blood." And in another song: "In the shadow of the swastika, with pride, we will destroy everything that is foreign to this country. With the power of our white hands and Hyperborean glory, we will kill the parasites one by one."
This type of clandestine gathering is nothing new. In previous years, similar concerts have been organized in isolated rural areas, hidden from view, sometimes in sheds or farms rented for the occasion. The pattern is always the same: the location is kept vague until the last moment, the address is only communicated to participants a few hours before the start, and the event thus escapes any prior ban. The rumor of multiple locations serves primarily to sow doubt, confuse the authorities, and thwart surveillance.
