Biocoop is doing well and wants to open 160 new stores within four years

New customers are crossing the threshold of Biocoop stores. Attracted by the fresh fruit and vegetable sections, but also by the brand's own branded products. An assortment bearing the white leaf logo on a green background, characteristic of organic farming. This influx of consumers is boosting Biocoop, which returned to growth in 2024 and saw its sales jump by nearly 9% last year. Confident in the future, the leader in organic food distribution in France has set a goal of opening 160 new stores by 2029, with a total of 900 by that time.
This ambition is included in the 2026-2029 strategic plan submitted to the vote of members on June 30, and officially presented on Thursday, September 18. "Our objective remains the same. We want to support organic farming and make organic accessible and desirable," says Henri Godron, president of the cooperative. Hence the desire to expand the territorial network of stores, but also to develop an online sales and home delivery offer, which is currently in its infancy.
