The end-of-year calendar brings two long weekends that Colombians don't plan to miss. With ideal weather and a growing desire to travel, Booking.com identified the strongest search trends for accommodation between October 1st and 15th , revealing a clear preference for sun and beach destinations and cities with a rich cultural and culinary scene.

First long weekend: from October 31st to November 3rd
This weekend, Medellín leads the way with a 29% increase in accommodation searches compared to last year. Its climate, the cultural offerings of Pueblito Paisa, and the vibrant nightlife of El Poblado continue to be major draws for travelers.
In second place is Bogotá, with a 24% increase, appealing to those seeking urban activities, art, and fine dining. Rounding out the top five are beach destinations: Cartagena, Santa Marta—which saw a 42% increase—and San Andrés, with 46% more searches, reflecting Colombians' interest in disconnecting by the sea.
Second long weekend: November 14-17
The second holiday weekend of the month shows a marked surge in searches for sun and beach destinations. San Andrés leads the way with an impressive 93% increase in searches compared to last year, followed by Medellín (86%) and Bogotá (65%). Cartagena remains a favorite with a 56% increase, while Santa Marta maintains its appeal with 22% more searches.
