End of mid-year break: When do public schools in Bogotá start classes?

Returning to school after the mid-year break is never a smooth ride. Therefore, students and parents should be aware of the return dates for Bogotá's public schools . When will classes start in Colombia's capital?

As established by the District Education Secretariat in Resolution 1811 of 2024, the return to classes will be on Monday, July 14, 2025. This day begins the second school period, which will extend until December 5, 2025. The mid-year vacation includes three weeks, from June 23 to July 11, 2025, so students should be aware of these dates to organize their time.

In addition, during the second semester, there will be a one-week school break from October 6 to 10, 2025, after which classes will continue until the end of the calendar year on December 5.
