The project incorporates a glass elevator that will allow groups of up to four people to ascend and descend , for an immersive experience of approximately 15 minutes, from where you can contemplate the city in 360 degrees.
“The panoramic viewpoint is a new tourist attraction that will change the way people see our city and its heritage, like in the great metropolises of the world ,” said the head of the Buenos Aires government, Jorge Macri.
In addition to the view, the visit will include cultural and heritage content about the history of the monument and the urban development of the city. All interventions were carried out respecting the original structure of the Obelisk, declared a National Historic Monument, thus guaranteeing its preservation.
For Valentín Díaz Gilligan, president of Visit Buenos Aires and the city's tourism office, “this development is a tourism and cultural milestone that positions the city on the global circuit of great urban viewpoints. It is the result of collaborative work with the private sector that will allow us to continue showcasing our identity to the world.”
