Wall Street opens in the green, with attention on US plans for Iran

NEW YORK, New York.- Wall Street opened in the green on Friday after US President Donald Trump said yesterday that he will make a decision on whether or not to join the conflict between Israel and Iran in the next two weeks.

Ten minutes after the bell rang, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.53% to 42,393 points, while the S&P 500 gained 0.58% to 6,015 points, and the Nasdaq rose 0.74% to 19,690 points.

“Based on the fact that there is a substantial possibility that negotiations with Iran will take place in the near future, I will make my decision on whether to go in the next two weeks,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday, directly quoting the president.

President Trump has made it clear he always wants to pursue diplomacy. But believe me, the President is unafraid to use strength, if necessary.
