A food company ruled out raising its prices following the rise in the dollar.

Despite the rise in the price of the US currency, the company denied considering markups.
A leading food company today flatly ruled out raising its price list in response to the dollar 's recent surge, which has taken it to levels of $1,400.
This was reported by a source from the company to the Argentine News Agency, after the US currency experienced an overheating in anticipation of the Buenos Aires elections.
The food company clarified that the adjustments to its lists are made quarterly and always below inflation. "We haven't considered creating a specific list. We don't adjust by dollar," said the source consulted by NA.
The tension over prices arose after the dollar started the week on the rise, a result of alleged acts of corruption by the National Government and the economic problems facing the administration. Therefore, on Tuesday, the government decided to intervene in the exchange market to stem the dollar's rise.
Through Finance Secretary Pablo Quirno, the decision was made to "contribute to the liquidity and normal functioning" of the Single Free Exchange Market (MULC).
In this way, the government seeks to curb the rise of the dollar and keep it stable ahead of the upcoming provincial and national elections.
