The Government made official the intervention of the Bonaparte Hospital

By means of Decree 130/2025 , the Government made official the intervention of the Bonaparte Hospital , specialized in mental health and addictions . The decision, according to the libertarian administration, is to guarantee the correct functioning of the institution in the absence of its highest healthcare authorities, something that had already been pointed out in Resolution 360/25 of the Ministry of Health.
According to the decree, the measure seeks to strengthen the capacity of the establishment to care for the population with mental health problems and addictions. To this end, the Dr. Mariano Bruno Pirozzo as General Auditor of the hospital. Pirozzo will have broad powers to manage the establishment and ensure its proper functioning, as well as to eliminate overlapping positions, something that the Government has also assured is happening.
The decree establishes the need to improve the hospital's effectiveness and efficiency in its administrative and scientific aspects. The aim is to strengthen mental health and addiction care, guaranteeing quality services to patients. In addition, the intervention will ensure compliance with health regulations and protocols in the institution.
The Ministry justified the intervention by pointing out that the hospital had 326 employees admitted during Alberto Fernández 's administration. "For the on-call and hospitalization services there were 109 employees for 55 beds, of which only 19 were occupied on average per month ," indicated the critical statement, in which they highlight that the 38 outpatient clinics attended an average of five consultations per day.
"The excessive growth of staff and the inefficient management of funds have had a negative impact on the hospital's capacity to provide care," the government said, assuring that the intervention seeks "transparency and efficiency" in the use of resources. In addition, they clarify that they are not seeking to close the entity, but rather are aiming to improve its operation.
In fact, the workers at the Bonaparte Hospital claim that the Government wants to intervene and audit it in order to then close the only public hospital with mental health admissions. The Casa Rosada denies that this is the case, although it is surprising that they are protesting so much and refusing to have their resources evaluated.
