Mexican banks remain calm after cartels declare themselves terrorists: AMB

Mexican banks are calm in the face of the recent designation by the US of six Mexican cartels as terrorists.

"We feel strong, we feel calm, we are all working in the banking sector together with our authorities, with our regulators, with our supervisors, and we have been paying attention for many years to this issue that we know is very, very important, and not only at this time when the cartels have been named terrorist organizations. Of course, we will continue to make a very important effort in this regard," the businessman explained.
He even used popular wisdom to say that "you shouldn't put on your sandals before you go out with a thorn," which is why, he stressed, they are still waiting for the US government to clarify how its measure will work.
