Roberto Orci, Mexican writer and producer of 'Star Trek' and 'Transformers', dies: What did he die of?

A year ago, American actor Gary Graham of 'Star Trek: Enterprise' died of a heart attack . Now, Mexican writer and producer Roberto Orci, who directed the 2000s reboots of sagas such as ' Star Trek ' and ' Transformers ', died in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 25.
The science fiction creator died of kidney disease at the age of 51, Variety magazine confirmed.
With his partner Alex Kurtzman, Orci co-wrote projects such as the 2007 reboot of "Transformers" (one of the franchises to gross $100 million in its debut) and 2009's " Star Trek ."
Orci also participated in the production of the 'Now You See Me' franchise, 'Ender's Game' and ' The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ' and appears in the credits of ' Mission Impossible 3 ', recalls the specialized magazine.
In television, Orci and Kurtzman developed the 2010 reboot of 'Hawaii Five- 0 ,' which ran for more than 200 episodes. He also created ' Sleepy Hollow ' and ' Fringe ' for Fox, Variety adds.
Orci, born in Mexico, attended Crossroads School in Los Angeles , where he met Kurtzman with whom he worked on numerous projects.
Both were involved in the script for JJ Abrams' ' Alias' and then created the Fox science fiction series 'Fringe', which lasted five seasons.
