BBVA Mexico renews its Communications department with Mauricio Pallares Coello at the helm

BBVA México, one of the financial institutions with the largest presence in the country , announced on Monday that the Communications and Corporate Identity department will be headed by Mauricio Pallares Coello, replacing Jorge Terrazas Madariaga, who held the position for 41 years.
Terrazas has extensive experience in Mexican commercial banking. He joined the then Probursa Stock Exchange in 1984, where he began his professional career in commercial and business areas, also during the acquisition of Multibanco Mercantil de México during the privatization period of the nationalized banking system, and during the capitalization of the Mexican financial institution by the then Spanish Banco Bilbao Vizcaya, and contributed to the integration of BBVA and Bancomer .
Since 2007, she has headed the areas of External Communication, Internal Communication, Public Relations and Corporate Events, as well as other responsibilities in different periods, including the BBVA Foundation.
In his place, Mauricio Pallares Coello will take over as Director of Communications and Corporate Identity at the financial institution. Pallares has more than 31 years of experience at BBVA Mexico, holding various positions in the areas of stock market operations, product development and digital channels.
Pallares holds a degree in Financial Administration with a specialization in Foreign Trade from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and in 2014 was appointed head of the marketing and digital products area. From the end of 2022 until February 2025, he served as director of relationship models, within the general management of BBVA's Retail Banking.
