A minor is being investigated for distributing altered photos of naked girls from his school.

The Civil Guard has opened an investigation into a minor accused of distributing images of his high school classmates , altered using artificial intelligence (AI) to make them appear completely nude.

During the process, a total of 16 teenagers filed complaints after discovering that their photographs had been manipulated using AI and shared on both social media and a website. The alleged perpetrator is a student at the same school, located in the Ribera Alta region of Valencia.

According to information provided this Sunday by the Civil Guard , the investigation began in December 2024, when one of the victims reported the creation of a fake profile with his name on a popular social network, where a video generated with artificial intelligence was published.

Images of other minors were shared on that same profile, all of them digitally altered to show nudity . The original photographs were altered so that the girls appeared naked .

The complainant also reported the opening of a second account on another social network in her name, as well as other accounts and a website that promoted this type of content, with the aim of selling manipulated images over the internet .

After the first complaint, another 15 minors joined the case , reporting similar events .

The officers interviewed the victims, who all agreed that a schoolmate was the possible perpetrator .

Investigators analyzed several accounts on two social media platforms created in the name of one of the complainants , where offensive videos and messages were shared. The companies responsible were asked for user information and access to the accounts involved.

The website where AI image manipulation services were offered and where the first video was disseminated was subsequently tracked.

The investigations led to the identification of user data and IP addresses associated with these platforms, which corresponded to the home address of one of the school's students.

It was also found that the email addresses used to create the accounts were linked to the same person.

For all these reasons, a 17-year-old youth is being investigated for alleged corruption of minors , in an operation carried out by the @ Team of the Civil Guard of Sueca (Valencia).

The proceedings have been referred to Juvenile Court No. 1 in Valencia.
