The Civil Guard has arrested a 45-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of attempted murder after shooting a bouncer at a nightclub in the Alicante region of Vega Baja . The shot, fired at very close range, hit the victim in the abdomen and caused serious injuries that required emergency surgery.

The investigation, carried out by the Alicante Judicial Police Organic Unit, specifically by the Almoradí Judicial Police Team, began on the evening of July 1, the day the events occurred. According to the investigation, the now detained man returned to the establishment hours after being evicted and, when the victim again blocked his access, he fired the shot and fled the scene in a vehicle .

After conducting various investigations and analyzing the surroundings, investigators narrowed the gap on the suspect, discovering that the escape vehicle belonged to a relative. Using all the information obtained, they were able to identify the shooter.

As the investigation progressed, officers located a home in the province of Murcia where the suspect might be hiding. They conducted a search and seizure with the support of the Rural Security Group (GRS) in Barcelona. Upon entering, investigators confirmed that the suspect had fled, and continued their operational efforts to locate him.

Finally, on July 30, the alleged perpetrator, a 45-year-old man with a history of various crimes, was located and arrested in Almoradí , and placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court No. 1 of Orihuela, which ordered his imprisonment.
