Voigt sees repatriations as a contribution to the reconstruction of Syria

Erfurt – Thuringian Minister-President Mario Voigt (CDU) has advocated for systematic repatriations to Syria. After the end of the civil war, it is essential that people rebuild their homes in the region. Repatriations are the right way to achieve this, the CDU politician told the newspapers of the FUNKE Media Group. Referring to the statements made by Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul (CDU), Voigt explained: "What the Foreign Minister has now said is a contribution to the debate, but the general direction of policy is correct, and that also means repatriations where possible."
