A battery gigafactory could be built in Poland. It's worth over PLN 2.5 billion.

ElevenEs, supported by a group of international investors, including the InnoEnergy fund, is planning to build a battery cell gigafactory worth nearly €600 million. The company is seriously considering Poland as a preferred location for its future investment.
Construction of the production plant is scheduled to begin by the end of 2027, and it is expected to employ 700 engineers . The exact location has not yet been confirmed, but it is believed to be in southern Poland: Kraków, Silesia, or Lower Silesia.
"The openness of the labor market, the availability of subcontractors within the supply chain, the presence of numerous universities, and access to Western European markets are undeniable advantages of Poland. Combine this with the potential involvement of the public sector, and we have one of the most attractive investment destinations in Europe, " said Nemanja Mikac, founder and CEO of ElevenEs.
For Poland, the potential ElevenEs investment is also an opportunity to create a new, deep-tech industrial ecosystem , we read in the company's press release.
- In terms of technology development, we are a clear leader in Europe, and one of the most important benefits of using our technology is the ability to integrate various industrial sectors and build an innovation ecosystem around it - emphasized Nemanja Mikac.
InnoEnergy is supporting the process of introducing the project to Poland and attracting additional investors . "We see the ElevenEs investment as a huge opportunity – not only will it contribute to building a strong, competitive economy in Poland, but it will also allow Europe to finally establish its export product in the global battery market value chain. This is one of those projects that could change the current rules of the game," said Mikołaj Budzanowski, President of InnoEnergy for Central Europe.
