Tyla Wears Two Roberto Cavalli Pieces Ahead of the Met Gala

Just days ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, Tyla was spotted around New York City wearing two showstopping Roberto Cavalli pieces, leading us to believe she's previewing her outfit.

The “Water” singer was out and about on Saturday, May 3, around New York City — just two days before she'll make her second appearance at the Met Gala. Tyla made her rounds in two gorgeous outfits this weekend, both from prolific luxury house Roberto Cavalli.

Tyla was shown wearing a silver croc-patterned blazer with matching low-rise pants from the designer. She wore the blazer open in the middle and paired it with silver Tequila Sandal heels from Aquazzura. Tyla went without a necklace for the outfit, but instead wore long, dangly earrings as her accessory.

The second Roberto Cavalli piece Tyla wore was a vintage dress from the designer's 2004 collection. Styled by Law Roach and sourced from the One of a Kind Archive, the dress was tailor-made for Tyla. The patterned minidress featured deep red, gold, and black lace, along with a ruffled, asymmetrical skirt. Roach shared photos of Tyla on his Instagram Stories, confirming he styled her, writing “Got to play with a Dollbaby last night.”

With her two street looks in New York, it's safe to say that Tyla may be wearing Roberto Cavalli to this year's Met Gala. The singer wore a Roberto Cavalli dress from the late designer’s fall-winter 2000 collection to the MTV EMAs in November.

The singer was confirmed to be attending this year's lavish fundraiser as she is among the many committee members. This year's theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” According to Vogue, it's inspired by Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
