Robert Irwin Leaves Little to Imagination in Nearly-Naked Underwear Ad
Robert Irwin is showing off down under.
The 21-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin rocked nothing but his boxer briefs in a new underwear campaign for Australian clothing Brand bonds. As seen in photos shared April 3, Robert bared his rock-hard abs as he posed with—what else—snakes, spiders and lizards.
“Proud to celebrate Australia’s most iconic animals,” he wrote on Instagram, “and the most iconic underwear!”
Needless to say, jaws fell to the floor.
“I have nothing appropriate to say,” one fan quipped in the comments section, while another joked, “Chill bro, my wife’s on this app.”
And given how Robert is often seen in his family’s signature khaki zoo uniforms, many were surprised by the scantily-clad nature of the photos.
“Oh my God! Is the world ready for this side of you Robert Irwin?!?!” a third Instagram user commented. “Not saying that you don’t look great, you look amazing mate!!!”
So, what’s scarier for Robert: Wrangling crocodiles or stripping down for the camera?
"Getting your gear off is way scarier than wrangling a croc!" he told People. "Wrangling animals is easy...and I had to do both. It was not on my bingo card. It felt so surreal.”
Indeed, Robert has continued to uphold their father’s passion for animals since the Crocodile Hunter star’s 2006 death. As he told E! News in 2022, “What dad really showed the world was, of course, to have that appreciation for the natural world and to treat every living being on this planet as you would wish to be treated.”
"That's something that I'll always carry with me,” he continued. “"I think that more than anything, I would hope that I really continue this message that life is short and we have to live every day to the fullest."
