Addison Rae, Troye Sivan, and More Wear "Protect the Dolls" Shirt for Trans Rights

Addison Rae has joined the likes of Troye Sivan, Pedro Pascal, and more in showing her support of trans rights with a viral t-shirt that has raised tens of thousands of dollars for a nonprofit dedicated to the trans community.

The TikToker-turned-pop-music-maker made another surprise appearance during weekend two of Coachella 2025 — this time joining Charli XCX on stage for their remix of “Von Dutch.” Ahead of the show — and before she changed into her pink polka dot set — Rae shared a video on TikTok of her before outfit. The transition video featured Rae lip-synching a viral sound on the app, which then went into her recent single, “Headphones On.” But the first clip showed Rae wearing the viral “Protect the Dolls” t-shirt that has made waves over the last several weeks.

The simple statement t-shirt was created by designer Conner Ives, who debuted the shirt during his fall 2025 fashion show during London Fashion Week in February. Ives closed out the show by walking onto the runway wearing the t-shirt, and since then, it has been worn by Addison Rae, Pedro Pascal, Troye Sivan, designer Haider Ackermann, and more.

Ives has shared the importance of the shirt on Instagram, writing that after an overwhelming response to the t-shirt on the runway, he decided to put it up for sale, with all proceeds going toward Trans Lifeline — a nonprofit organization that connects trans people with resources and community support. The t-shirt refers to "the dolls,” which is an affectionate term for trans women. According to the New York Times, Ives has raised more than $250,000 from the shirts.

During weekend one of Coachella 2025, Troye Sivan joined Charli XCX on stage during her performance wearing the shirt — marking another celebrity who is proudly standing with the trans community. In an Instagram post that included photos of Sivan in the shirt, Ives wrote: “I never had any idea what this would turn into, what we would be able to do with the printing of a tee.”

“Couldn’t be more proud of everyone that made this possible,” Ives continued. “Moments like these remind me why I do this! Clothes that become something bigger. Absolutely wild. Thank you all.”
