“They’re both very nurturing people and are very, very happy together and to be starting a family,” the insider said. “They’ve been sharing privately with loved ones, and it’s a really sweet time after everything Pete has overcome. He’s so excited. He’s always wanted to be a dad.”

A second source told the publication that Davidson has been “more intentional” about his relationships in general and who he interacts with since becoming romantically involved with Hewitt.

“Pete and Elsie are happy and cannot wait to welcome their baby,” the second source continued. “He’s grown up a lot, and he’s so excited about this next chapter as a dad. He’s more intentional about who he lets into his life now, and with Elsie, it was never about headlines or the spotlight, and that’s exactly what he needs.”

The couple has been romantically linked since March, when they were seen enjoying a vacation in Palm Beach, Florida. By May, they had reportedly moved in together in New York City.

Davidson told comedian Kevin Hart in 2022 that he had been thinking about starting a family on Hart’s talk show, Hart to Heart.

“My favorite thing ever, which I’m yet to achieve, is I wanna have a kid,” Davidson said. “It’s super corny, but it would be so fun to dress up a little dude. I’m so excited for that chapter so that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is trying to be like good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”
