This Main Character From Emily in Paris Isn’t Coming Back for Season 5

Emily in Paris will start production on its fifth season next month, but one familiar face will be missing, Deadline reveals. While Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel, sparked speculation last fall that he might not return, he will appear in the next season after all. But his co-star Camille Razat, who plays Gabriel’s on-off girlfriend, will not. Her name was not included in the official season 5 cast that Netflix announced, according to Deadline.
Camille’s arc ended smoothly at the end of the fourth season, however. She revealed that although she had a fake pregnancy, she wanted to pursue motherhood. Gabriel wasn’t interested in doing that with her, and the two ended their relationship for good, leaving him available for Emily (Lily Collins).
Netflix announced that the season 5 cast will include Bravo, Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), and Eugenio Franceschini, who played Emily’s new Italian love interest Marcello during her time in Rome.
Production will take place in Rome and Paris.
In October 2024, Razat spoke to L’Officiel Ibiza post-finale about her character’s journey last season. “For Camille, the fourth season is very heartbreaking,” she said. “Everything she ever dreamed of is falling apart. Everything is falling apart, including the marriage [to Gabriel], the kids, Sofia. This season is a time for Camille to find herself and create a new future. It was great to play those emotions as an actress, it gave me a chance to show a wide range of emotions. So I’m very grateful to play this character.”
