Tenerife holiday horror as boy, 16, arrested for 'raping tourist in hotel room'

Police have arrested a 16-year-old holidaymaker accused of trying to rape another tourist at her hotel in southern Tenerife.

The teenager was held at a swimming pool in a hotel in Playa de Las Americas near to the spot where he allegedly attempted to enter the 22-year-old’s room and force himself on her. Detectives said today he fled after she resisted and screamed.
