Motorcyclist killed after crashing with vehicle in northeast end

A man is dead after a crash between a car and a motorcycle in the city's northeast end Monday evening.

At around 5:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the area of Highbury Avenue North at Edgevalley Road, police said. Paramedics took the driver of the motorcycle to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.

The investigation is in its early stages. Investigators are asking members of the public who may have been in the area at the time and have video footage to contact them.
