Meghan Markle savaged over latest 'toe-curling' move as Duchess dubbed 'tone-deaf'

Meghan Markle was blasted by a royal commentator over her latest "toe-curling" move during a recent interview. The Duchess of Sussex this week appeared on Emma Grede's Aspire podcast to talk about her various business ventures. In the interview, Meghan was asked about public opinion and whether she would change anything to win people over, to which she replied that she would "ask people to tell the truth".
She also referred to a "lie" told eight years ago, saying "a lie can't live forever. Eight years is a long time, but not forever". The Duchess did not specify who she was referring to; however, several royal watchers took it as a swipe at the royals, as eight years ago, she became engaged to Prince Harry.
But now a royal commentator has criticised Meghan and accused her of having a "strained relationship with the truth".
US-based journalist Lee Cohen told the Express: "It is well known that Meghan Markle has a strained relationship with the truth, so it is toe-curling for her to demand, as she did on Emma Grede’s podcast, for others to ’tell the truth’."
He described the Duchess as "the most tone deaf, least self-aware figure in the public eye" and added that she has been "rightly humiliated and lampooned for it in Hollywood."
Mr Cohen also blasted the Duchess for her latest comment after "spinning tales that crumbled under scrutiny" during her infamous interview with US TV star Oprah Winfrey.
The Duchess made various claims about the Royal Family in her and Prince Harry's bombshell 2021 interview, including how she wasn't supported by the Firm regarding her mental health, that Princess Kate made her cry over the infamous bridesmaids dress and that she was not given royal advice ahead of her marriage to the Duke.
The Royal Family have never commented on Meghan's claims.
