Man seriously injured in early morning east end stabbing

A man is in hospital after being found stabbed in London's east end.

Police were called to check on the welfare of a person seen lying on the sidewalk in the area of Hamilton Road and Inkerman Street, east of Adelaide Street, shortly before 4 a.m. According to police, officers arrived and found a man with an apparent stab wound.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released, and there was no suspect description.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area between 3 and 4 a.m. Monday, and those who may have dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance, to contact them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
