Trump inspects flood-stricken Texas

Following last week's devastating floods in Texas , US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, visited the area to inspect the area. He met with the families of those who lost their lives and highlighted the extent of the destruction, saying, "100-year-old trees have been uprooted. I've never seen anything like this before."
Trump pointed out that the riverbed that caused the flooding rose approximately 8 meters in 45 minutes and assessed that this was unlike any hurricane or tornado he had seen before.
Referring to the girls who lost their lives in the floodwaters of the student camp, the US President said, "They were there because they loved God, and as we mourn this unimaginable tragedy, we find comfort in knowing that God welcomed those beautiful little girls into his comforting arms in heaven."
Trump's wife, Melania Trump, shared the pain of the families affected by the disaster, saying, "I offer my deepest condolences to all the parents who have lost their beautiful, young souls," and said that the American people are mourning for the children of these families.
Donald Trump also stated that, at the request of Governor Abbott, he expanded the state of emergency he declared for Kerr County, the disaster center, to include the other eight counties affected by the floods to benefit from government aid.
As a result of sudden heavy rainfall on July 4 in the southern US state of Texas , the Guadalupe River in the Kerr region overflowed, causing flooding.
Texas Governor Gregg Abbott stated in a post on his X account that they were mobilizing all resources to combat the devastating floods, while local officials reported that there were nearly 50,000 people in the disaster area and that search and rescue efforts were continuing.
US President Donald Trump declared Kerr County a disaster area due to flooding.
