Is Visa-Free Travel Possible to Serbia? Thanks to the visa-free travel agreement signed between Turkey and Serbia on December 3, 2010, Turkish citizens can enter Serbia without a visa with certain passport types, provided their stays do not exceed 90 days in total within a 180-day period. Holders of special (green), diplomatic (black), service (gray), and ordinary (maroon) passports can take advantage of this advantage. Temporary passport holders are also considered valid for entry.

However, please note that flight and accommodation information, as well as travel health insurance documents, may be requested at airport checkpoints. Therefore, it is recommended that you have all your documents with you when traveling to Serbia.

What are the Types of Serbian Visa? Type A (Airport Transit) Visa: This transit visa is issued for those transiting through Serbia to another country, with a maximum duration of six months and single or multiple entries. A transit visa requires a third-country visa or travel to a country that does not require a visa. Turkish citizens are exempt from visas for transits of up to 90 days.

Type C (Short-Term) Visa: This short-term visa allows a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day period and is issued for a variety of purposes, including tourism, business, education, family visits, and seminar participation. Single, double, or multiple entry options are available. Short-term visas generally require an invitation letter or proof of payment from a tourism agency.

Type D (Long-Term) Visa: Valid for stays of 90 to 180 days, the long-term visa is generally required for those seeking temporary residence. This visa type allows for longer periods of study, work, or other long-term plans.

Required Documents for Serbia Visa Application

• When applying for a Serbian visa, the following documents must be prepared completely and accurately:
• Passport valid for at least 3 months and not older than 10 years (Must have at least 2 blank pages)
• 2 biometric photographs (3.5x4.5 cm, white background)
• A fully completed and signed visa application form
• Petition explaining the purpose and duration of travel
• Round-trip flight tickets and hotel reservations
• Bank statements showing financial status (for the last month, stamped and signed)
• Travel health insurance policy
• Visa fee receipt
• A photocopy of your ID and a copy of your full civil registration certificate
• Invitation letter according to purpose
• Social Security Institution employment certificate and payslip for employees
• Activity certificate and signature circular for employers
• Additional financial support documents such as credit card, vehicle license and title deed documents, if any

Application Center and Appointment Process: Serbian visa applications are processed through the Serbian Embassy in Turkey and the Consulate General in Istanbul. Applicants are required to schedule an appointment with the relevant representative office, depending on their region of residence.
