As part of the investigation launched into the murder of Aygar, the 19-year-old murder suspect Hüseyin Arda Şark and his companions N.Ç. (20) and M.Z. (28) were detained by the police teams and the procedures are continuing at the police station.

According to Sabah newspaper, an investigation by the Mersin Provincial Police Department Public Security Branch teams determined that the suspects first took Hiranur Nilgün Aygar, who was killed in a parked car on Akbelen Boulevard on August 31, to a grassy area above the Müftü Creek in the Yenişehir district, and then to the Mersin City Training and Research Hospital at 23:50 at night.
