Detained on February 14 as part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of 'obscenity' due to a post she made on her social media account, social media phenomenon Merve Taşkın was released after a judicial control decision in the form of house arrest was issued against her.
Following the completion of the investigation against Taşkın, a lawsuit was filed against him for the crime of 'obscenity', demanding a prison sentence of up to 3 years.
