The 20-cup matador is at Fenerbahçe

Real Madrid veteran star Dani Carvajal said in an interview, "We call Asensio 'Torero' (Matador) because he had long hair when he first arrived. Ramos and Nacho were the first to give him that name." But it would be more accurate to describe Marco Asensio as a 'Winner' (victorious) than a bullfighter.

Asensio has 20 trophies in his career, not counting his under-21 trophies. He was just 18 when he signed for Real Madrid from Mallorca on November 24, 2014, and since then, he's won a trophy in Spain and France, including four Champions League titles. He'll bring a winning culture to Fenerbahçe.

A separate bonus for each cup

The cost isn't high, either. Thanks to President Ali Koç's friendship with PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi, the French club agreed to release him for €15 million. Marco Asensio will also earn €11 million annually at Fenerbahçe. The 29-year-old will, of course, receive a bonus for every trophy he wins.

MOURINHO WANTED IT SO MUCH

Although primarily left-footed, Asensio can also use his weaker right foot. He will be a key player in Mourinho's game plan. The experienced player also sees Fenerbahçe as his best option for a return to the Spanish national team and a Champions League opportunity.
