Liverpool star Diogo Jota dies in car accident

Diogo Jota, the 28-year-old Portuguese star footballer of Liverpool, one of the English Premier League teams, died in a traffic accident.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the Portuguese forward lost his life along with his brother Andre Silva, who is also a football player, in a traffic accident that occurred in the city of Zamora in Spain.

It was reported that Jota, who got married two weeks ago, and his 26-year-old brother Andre Silva, who plays for Portuguese Second League team Penafiel, lost their lives when the car they were travelling in went off the road and caught fire.

Jota described himself as "the luckiest man in the world" in an interview published yesterday following his marriage to Rute Cardoso, the mother of his three children.
