Edin Dzeko bids farewell to Fenerbahçe

Star striker Edin Dzeko announced that he is bidding farewell to Fenerbahçe.

Dzeko, 39, who joined the yellow-navy blue team in the 2023-2024 season, said the following in his Instagram post:

* It's time to say goodbye. Parting ways is never easy. Especially when a club like Fenerbahçe has deeply affected you.

* Endless thanks to everyone who made me feel the warmth of family over the past two years: My teammates, coaches, club staff and all the workers who worked with great dedication behind the scenes.

* And the most special thanks to all of you who support us passionately under all circumstances: You are the real heart of Fenerbahçe. I will always carry you in my heart. I tried to give my best every day, in training and on the field.

* We may not have won the trophies we dreamed of, but wearing the jersey of a deep-rooted and honorable club like Fenerbahçe was an indescribable pride for me.

* Long live Fenerbahce!

Dzeko scored 46 goals and made 18 assists in 99 matches for Fenerbahçe.
